Ladysmith Black Mambazo Goes To Botswana

Award winning Ladysmith Black Mambazo is an international well known choir vest recognized for their sweet accapella melodic choral sounds. The male group has definitely made a name for itself in the music industry. Having performed in places like Belgium, Switzerland, Geneva, New York, Finland, Germany, to mention a few, the group knows how to pull in large crowds. They have also collaborated with great legendary musicians such as the late Hugh Masekela and Oliver Mutukuzi.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo is currently making it’s way to Botswana, where they will be performing for charity. The event ‘Night With Ladysmith Black Mambazo’ has been slated for the 31st of May at the University of Botswana Indoor Sports Centre.

The proceeds from the evening will be going to the Botswana Gender Based Prevention and Support Centre as a way of supporting the structure financially for the work they do.

The Botswana Gender Based Violence and Prevention Centre is a non-profit organisation which aims to raise awareness about gender-based violence in Botswana. This is done through the provision of temporary shelter, counselling, community education and outreach among others. Issues of gender based violence have a constant need to be addressed daily and Botswana is taking a stand to help it’s NGOs be able to deliver their mandates.
