Sithembiso Sylvester Sister (Stherasoul) as known by his stage name is a multi-talented songwriter/composer and artist, that has worked with and written songs for other South African upcoming musicians, the likes of gospel group Rhythm Devine Quartet, HipHop artist Chris which he features on his latest single and Bnxele to name a few. He hails from the dusty streets of Veeplaas in the friendly city of Port Elizabeth.
His introduction into Music began at Church at the tender age of 2years where he would imitate the songs after each Sunday service and that led him to join the Sunday school choir till he was 6 years, it was then that he took an interest in conducting the choir and that later led him to write hymns for the Church choir and primary school choir from when he was 10years and that got the attention of the music teacher Mr Mazomba who later taught him to read , write and compose music using Tonic sol-fa notes and mentored him throughout his career until in 2004 when he started his own hip-hop crew and that’s when he rediscovered himself as an artist because the musical approach was different to his formal choir/choral background, they recorded a few unreleased mixtapes till 2008 when he moved to Cape town, where he performed with afro accapella group called Afrocharm, to creating another afro accapella trio called Abahlobo good music and they performed around Cape town to the Franschoek wine Estates, mama Africa in Longstreet cape town and other provinces around the country, then in 2013 the group grew apart and that was end of it. After that things were a difficult because he had to adjust from singing and writing for a group to creating music for only himself as a Solo act and it was then that he began to pursue his musical dream and he’s been flying solo ever since only to feature other artists on some of his projects(songs).
In June 2020 he was involved in the Band creation, Singing, Recording and Production of Bnxele‘s first ever single called Yina Mvula which is prayer song and cry for help by South Africans and the world as a result of the corona virus and to writing a song and being involved in music video creation of Rhythm Devine’s new album titled Eparadesi. Hes afropop /hip-hop single Ndicel’uxolo featuring Chris is out for streaming on soundcloud, and the video is available on YouTube, will be followed by 2 more singles called Mus’umbulala featuring MZET which a song against Gender Based Violence against women and children that has taken our society, and Yith Cwaka featuring Uviwe Ndongeni leading to the release of hisafropop/soul debut album titled Nants’indlela.
